History Day LA - A wonderful opportunity for your students to be involved in historical inquiry and compete with others across the county. Event is held at APU in early March. It's unforgettable!

National Archives Teachers' Resources - Need primary sources? This is the best site to find documents, artifacts, etc. There are also great worksheets for Historical Analysis.
The Autry Museum of Western Heritage - You can reserve a "Communities Stories Outreach Kit" full of lesson plans, primary sources and artifacts for two weeks. Lessons are inquiry based and full of Common Core strategies. Call early in the year.
